The math and how it's used
This implementation uses the free-space speed of light approximation c = 3e8 m/s.
Physical media reduce propagation speed, so the wavelength in the medium is shorter than the free-space value.
This is a good first-pass RF intuition tool when you want to connect frequency to physical size, cable length, or antenna fractions of a wavelength.
The result is the free-space value. Real dielectrics, transmission lines, and guided structures run slower than free space, so the physical wavelength is shorter.
