National Instruments PXIe-DMM5102 PXI Digital Multimeter Bundle
The National Instruments PXIe-DMM5102 Bundle (Part Number: 867116-03) is a comprehensive and scalable test and measurement solution based on a high-precision 7.5-digit PXIe-4081 digital multimeter. This integrated system is designed for automation test applications in research, validation, and production environments, providing laboratory-grade accuracy in a modularized, rugged platform form. The bundle is supplied fully outfitted with the hardware necessary to go into service immediately in a PXI framework.
This fully integrated system (PXIe-DMM5102 Bundle) comprises the PXIe-4081 digital multimeter module, a PXIe-1083 5-slot chassis that forms the backbone of the system, and such necessary accessories as a Thunderbolt cable for high-speed data communication and a region-specific power cable. The PXIe-4081 DMM has versatile measuring capability and can measure DC and AC voltage to 1000 volts, current to 3 amps, and 2-wire or 4-wire resistance. Special functions for diode testing, frequency measurement and temperature measurement using a variety of thermocouples and RTDs are provided as well. An isolated integrated digitizer in the PXIe-4081 allows for waveform acquisition capability up to 1.8 MS/s, thereby adding an oscilloscope-like function suitable for dynamic signal analysis.
The PXIe-1083 chassis provides the essential system infrastructure, with as much as 293 W of total system power and enhanced cooling to support high-performance modules. Critical multiplicity of timing having to do with synchronization within a test system and other anomalies will be detected perfunctorily with the use of the 10 and 100 MHz reference clocking, necessary for the proper function of multi-module test systems. In the software environment, the solution bundle is enhanced with, for example, the Test Workflow series of products. This includes standard tools such as LabVIEW for graphical system design, InstrumentStudio for interactive instrument control and visualization of test readings, and TestStand for sequenced test development. The PXIe-DMM5102 Bundle is the ideal solution for engineers who design compact, high-accuracy automated testing systems for component inspection, data acquisition, and functional test systems.
