APC Uninterruptible Power Supply
For demanding industrial and automation applications, the APC Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) (Part Numbers: 784834-01, 784835-01) is a high-level power protection device. It has a power capacity band of 20kVA to 160kVA and operates within a frequency range of 55 Hertz to 65 Hertz, delivering constantly available, stable, clean power to sensitive electrical and electronic systems to protect them from supply outages, surges and fluctuations in supply. By using the double-conversion on-line technology it provides for a continuous and instantaneous switchover facility between mains and battery supply, while maintaining a pure sine wave output with minimal distortion in voltage. The different between the two part numbers of the power supply is that part number 784834-01 is designed for a voltage of 120 V, while part number 784835-01 is made for 240 V.
This UPS is designed specifically for operations requiring high availability such as automated test equipment, production line testing, etc., and other precision-controlled industrial applications. The built-in battery system has inherent redundancy that greatly reduces the risk of effectively losing supply due to down-time, guaranteeing continuity of workflow in a high-reliability environment. The unit is automatically switched on continuous bypass that maintains supply even during overload or system maintenance with stable performance throughout all conditions of operation.
With a range of communication interfaces, namely USB, SmartSlot, and RJ-45 serial ports installed, the APC Uninterruptible Power Supply allows for intelligent monitoring, off-line management and simple interfacing for existing control systems. In addition, there is a multifunction alphanumeric LCD display of performance statistics and alarms are given in both visual and aural in order of priority reflecting mainly on attention required in maintenance.
The devices have automatic internal maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid batteries with a short 3-hour time for recharging to a fully operational status. Excellent performance without limitation and long service life is again assured. The UPS in its efficiency will function within a wide input voltage range and will operate reliably in diverse industrial environments. The unit’s case is finished in mid-grey with a streamlined black unit, good airflow and IP20 rating protection means the units are suitable for mounting in cabinets or equipment rooms.
