The LitePoint Z2590 is a 9-slot PXI Express chassis designed for high-performance RF and wireless testing. It integrates seamlessly with LitePoint’s modular VSA and VSG instruments for advanced signal analysis and generation. It supports 250 MHz to 6 GHz RF testing with broad compatibility for emerging wireless technologies. This Z2590 unit provides the physical and electrical framework necessary for precision RF validation across development and production environments. The Z2590 Chassis features a four-link PXIe backplane topology delivering up to 8 GB/s system bandwidth. Its each slot supports up to 2 GB/s for low-latency data exchange between instruments and controller modules. The chassis complies with PXI Express and CompactPCI Express standards to support flexible instrumentation configurations. The Z2590 houses one system controller slot, one timing slot and seven hybrid peripheral slots.
It comes equipped with an internal AC power supply and it operates on 100–240 VAC input at 50–60 Hz. This unit provides 400 W total DC power across the system’s regulated power rails and supports high-power RF modules like the Z8751 VSG and Z8651 VSA without external power conditioning for stable operation during long test cycles. This 9-slot PXI Z2590 chassis includes an embedded system monitor for real-time health tracking and power rail supervision. It displays status indicators for temperature, fan speed, and system power across all module slots. A pair of rear-panel BNCs provide 10 MHz clock input and output for external synchronization. It supports ±50 ppm clock accuracy and less than 300 ps slot-to-slot skew.

This 9-slot chassis is compatible with the Z3975 embedded controller, which operates on an Intel Core i5-520E processor. The controller comes with 4 GB DDR3 RAM, a 320 GB SATA HDD and supports external I/O including USB, Ethernet, DVI and GPIB. It communicates via a PXIe system link, ensuring seamless control over signal modules and measurement processes.
