ZTEC ZT430PXI Digital Storage Oscilloscope
ZTEC's ZT430PXI is a 3U PXI module-based, 12-bit resolution digital storage oscilloscope with a 90 MHz bandwidth and two analog input channels that are able to sample simultaneously (interleaved) at either 100 MS/s (per channel) or 200 MS/s (single-channel). The ZT430PXI has fully programmable input ranges, coupling, impedance, and sampling rates; these factors allow for flexible signal conditioning when testing a variety of signals. A feature of the Digital Storage Oscilloscope is its low-noise design, allowing for greater than 70 dB of dynamic range. This makes the device suitable for capturing high-fidelity video, intermediate frequency (IF), and radio frequency (RF) signals where fine details in the captured waveforms are important.
Engineers use the ZT430PXI for their mixed-signal test and validation applications, digital design validation, and automated measurement systems. The oscilloscope also has a large amount of on-board memory for acquisitions, allowing users to segment acquisitions into different waveform captures. These acquisitions can be very long and/or sequential and do not require immediate data transfers. Besides its large on-board memory for acquisitions, the ZT430PXI has an on-board 100 MHz Digital Signal Processing (DSP) processor. The DSP processor allows engineers to perform real-time waveform math operations and digital filtering and to make numerous signal measurements directly from the oscilloscope. The device has many advanced triggering options available, such as edge triggering, glitch triggering, pulse width triggering, and pattern triggering. These triggering options enable users to synchronize their oscilloscope to complex or intermittent events occurring within their system.
The integration of the ZT430PXI into automated test stands is greatly simplified due to its support of plug-and-play software drivers for many environments, such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and C/C++. The Digital Storage Oscilloscope provides multi-instrument synchronization through the PXI backplane clock and trigger lines or through an external sampling clock input. Multi-instrument synchronization is necessary for users wishing to measure multiple channels or to implement phased array measurements. Due to its ability to provide high-speed digitization, large amounts of memory for acquisitions, and the processing of acquired waveforms using its on-board DSP processor, the ZT430PXI is an ideal solution for research, development, and high-channel-count production test systems requiring accurate waveform analysis and capture.
