The operation of the Spirent SmartBits LAN-3150A Ethernet Module is compatible with the SmartBits SMB-600 or SMB-6000B Performance Analysis Systems. The functional compatibility of the SmartBits LAN-3150A Ethernet Module is with the SmartBits LAN-3100A module. The key features of the Spirent SmartBits LAN-3150A module are ARPing, VLAN tagging, and IP checksum generation.
The SmartBits LAN-3150A RMII/SMII Ethernet Module features 8 ports of 10/100 Mbps speed, which can be configured either as full or half-duplex Ethernet ports. The SmartBits LAN-3150A Ethernet Module by Spirent Communications features a selectable operational mode for user-dependent RMII or SMII and uses a common clock reference for establishing the connection with both genres of DUTs. The SMII synchronization of the Spirent SmartBits LAN-3150A module is done through a global 12.5 MHz pulse.
