Ettus Research/National Instruments USRP E312 Software Defined Radio

The USRP E312 (part number: 784421-01) is a battery operated and portable software-defined radio that is perfectly suited for field use. Equipped with an embedded GPS receiver and two host USB ports, this software-defined radio is capable of expanding storage, I/O, and communication options. The small, portable design of the USRP E312 offers a standalone deployment solution with extensive peripherals for interfacing with external systems. With a 2x2 MIMO configuration, the device has up to 56 MHz of bandwidth. 

The RF frequency of the software defined radio ranges from 70 MHz to 6 GHz, and convenient RF filter banks help allow the transceiver to reliably identify a wide variety of spectrum signals. The user's frequency selection determines the filters (RX or TX) that are dynamically selected. While the TX filters minimize harmonics, the RX filters lessen interference from out-of-band transmissions. Deterministic calculations for real-time spectrum analysis are made possible by the user-programmable FPGA. The ADC and DAC resolution of the USRP E312 both measure 12 bits, with maximum sample rates of 61.44 MS/s. 

The USRP E312 is powered by an external DC power supply and an internal 3200 mAh Li-ion battery. The typical DC input of the power supply ranges from 5 to 15 V with a power consumption of 2 to 6 W. On the other hand, the internal battery has a capacity of 3200 mAh and a voltage of of 3.7 V. With a charge time of 120 minutes, the battery has a full load life of 140 minutes. 

The physical dimensions of the USRP E312 measure 133mm x 68.2mm x 31.8mm, and the device weighs in at 446 g. The operating temperature range of the device spans from 0°C to 45°C. The software compatible with the radio include version 3.9.2 (or later) of the USRP Hardware Driver (UHD) as well as GNU Radio, Python, C++, C, and RFNoC.
