The RF transceiver in the NI USRP-2921 device is equipped with an analog-to-digital-converter for the receiver and a digital-to-analog-converter for the transmitter.
The USRP-2921 is delivered with a gain step for the transmitter of 0.5 dB, while the gain step if 2 dB for the receiver. The NI USRP-2921 device consists of one input and one output channel. The USRP-2921 is configured as a half-duplex device, since it cannot operate in two-way communication at a similar time.
