National Instruments PXIe-8234 PXI Ethernet Interface Module
The PXIe-8234 (Part Number: 780244-01, 780263-01, 194095B-01L) is a Gigabit PXI Ethernet Interface Module, which can be used with National Instruments Vision Acquisition Software. This software is driver programming for obtaining, showing, logging, and monitoring images from many camera types. With a set of simple-to-utilize capacities and programs, users can rapidly make applications utilizing LabVIEW, C, C ++, C #, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic .NET. This module transfers images at full Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth on both ports at the same time and is enhanced for an extremely low CPU load. The NI PXIe-8234 module gives full GigE Vision data transfer capacity at each port, giving users the transmission capacity needed for the most challenging vision applications. Part number 780263-01 is the version of the PXIe-8234 with vision acquisition software.
The PXIe-8234 has two Ethernet ports, which empowers the development of a hybrid test framework. With the capacity to utilize the second Ethernet port, the user can join numerous buses into their test frameworks. By taking advantage of hybrid test frameworks that combine components from multiple platforms, users can integrate new buses into existing test frameworks to enable calibration to help balance design consideration, take advantage of various technologies, and expand the life of the frameworks. The device has an Ethernet interface of 1 Gbits/s, and is equipped with 2 10P10C modular jack connectors.
To set up and use the NI PXIe 8234 PXI Ethernet Interface Module, the user needs an Ethernet cable, software for creating applications (optional), and a PXIe/cPCIe computer with Microsoft Windows Vista/XP/2000 and one or more open slots.
The double display port video ports on the PXIe 8234 help with simultaneous output. With this built-in capacity, the user can associate two monitors to their PXI framework at the same time with independent display. This negates the requirement for a different PXI or CompactPCI video module to associate two monitors to a PXI framework.
The NI device weighs 5.5 oz, and measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 55 °C and –40 to 70 °C respectively, operation and storage humidity ranges of 10 to 90% and 5 to 95% respectively.
The PXIe-8234 is no longer available from National Instruments, but the PXI Ethernet Interface Module will remain available in perpetuity with Apex Waves!
