National Instruments PCI-DNET DeviceNet Interface Device
The PCI-DNET (Part Number: 777358-01) is a fast DeviceNet Interface, ideal for generating applications with the NI Industrial Communications for DeviceNet driver. This device comes with a layer of controller region organization that improves quality and interconnectivity by determining different parameters, such as the required link length, connectors, and baud rates. Elite ace/scanner or slave abilities can be programmed on this model. To utilize the PCI-DNET programming, the user initially arranges their communication with other DeviceNet gadgets inside the application. At that point, the user can read and compose the arranged I/O factors required by the application. Firmware running on the 80386EX of the CAN interface gadget handles all subtle elements of DeviceNet communication.
The DeviceNet kit includes CAN interface gadgets in three different arrangements:
- PCI-CAN: a short PCI board
- PXI-8461: a 3U estimate module compatible with PXI measured instrumentation
- PCMCIA-CAN: Type II PC Card
The Intel 80386EX chip is utilized on every National Instruments CAN gadget, including the NI PCI-DNET device. It is ideal to deal with communications straightforwardly on the interface gadget. The DeviceNet-indicated Combicon-style pluggable screw terminal is the method used to interface to the DeviceNet. The DeviceNet detailed physical prerequisites all meet the NI CAN interfaces, including 500 V optical confinement and transport fueled handsets.
