National Instruments SCXI-1531 Sound and Vibration Input Module
On the SCXI-1531 (Part Number: 777966-31) National Instruments module, when both signal lines of the accelerometer are floating to ground, the user can configure this model’s channel with reference to ground switched on. This mode prevents a typical mode potential from accumulating through the input of the amplifier that can be a source of noise. The base output rate for the module must not be less than 10 times the highest channel transmission capacity setting. In extremely noisy situations, considerably higher output rates might be fundamental. For instance, if the user is utilizing three channels and their channel transfer speeds are 2.5, 2.5, and 5.0 kHz, the base scan rate is 50 kHz.
Multiplexed mode is also included and is regularly utilized for performing filtering operations with the SCXI-1531. Instantly preceding a multiplexed scanning operation, the SCXI chassis is modified with a module filter list that controls which module sends its output to the SCXIbus during a scan. The user can influence this list scan to examine the modules in the chassis in any order, with an optional number of channels for every module entry in the list, limited to a total of 512 channels for every chassis. The user can also arbitrarily filter the channels on the SCXI-1531. The channels can be in any order and the channels can happen in multiple times in a single scan. When performing multiple scans, the list pointer of the module consequently wraps around and begins examining with the first channel in the scan list.
SCXI-1531 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
