National Instruments SCXI-1348 Cable Assembly

The SCXI-1348 is a DIO-32F cable assembly. The SCXI-1348 assembly is designed and launched by National Instruments. The NI SCXI-1348 cable assembly kit can be ordered under part number 776574-48. The kit includes a cable adapter, one NB4 shielded ribbon cable, the SCXI-1348 cable assembly guide, and two screws. Other items needed that aren’t included are an SCXI chassis, an SCXI module, a computer, a DIO-32F data acquisition board, and a small flathead screwdriver.

The SCXI-1348 Cable Assembly is used to connect an SCXI module with different DIO-32F DAQ boards. The compatible DAQ boards include the AT-DIO-32F, NB-DIO-32F, and MC-DIO-32F. On the other end, compatible SCXI modules would be the SCXI-1160, the SCXI-1161, the SCXI-1162, and the SCXI-1163. The National Instruments SCXI-1348 Cable Assembly is not compatible with newer SCXI modules or DAQ boards other than the DIO-32F boards.

This Cable Assembly features two main components: an adapter board and an NB4 50-conductor shielded ribbon cable. The NB4 cable links the adapter board to a DIO-32F DAQ board. The adapter board converts the signals from the DIO-32F I/O connector to the pinout that a digital SCXI module back signal connector utilizes. You can extend the unconverted signals of the DIO-32F to another module or to an SCXI-1180 feedthrough panel by utilizing the male breakout connector that is on the center of the adapter board.

SCXI-1348 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Cable Assembly will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
