National Instruments SCXI-1181 Breadboard Custom Circuitry Module

The SCXI-1181 (Part Number: 776572-81) Breadboard Module is a useful module with a power supply circuit format and a bread-boarding region that the user can utilize for building custom simple, computerized, and timing circuits. The SCXI-1181 feedthrough board is a 50-stick link expansion gadget for use with the National Instruments SCXI product offering. The user can employ the SCXI-1181 to expand signal lines for signals that do not require conditioning from the back to the front of an SCXI model. The device kit should contain the following: module front panel, module front panel overlay, thumb screw, 2.5 mm, #4 x 5/16 in. Phillips screw, flat head, enclosure base, module rear panel, #4 x 5/16 in. Phillips screw, pan head, enclosure cover, identification label, 3 x 32 position Deutsche Industrie Norme connector header, 50 position connector header, 4 x 6, 2 mm connector, push-fit, and an installation guide.

The NI SCXI-1181 can customize signal conditioning circuitry in simple I/O, computerized I/O, timing, and control applications, and get to the SCXIbus signal lines. The module is completely protected and accompanies a connector unit, comprising of a 96-stick front connector and a 50-stick raise signal connector. The SCXI-1181 module has three sections: a bread-boarding region, connectors, and a power-supply segment. This module also has three connectors. The front connector is a 96-stick DIN C-type. The back-signal connector is a 50-stick right-point male strip link connector. Lastly, the third connector is a SCXIbus connector, which is on the SCXI-1181 module.

The module can be programmed using software packages or application development environments (ADEs) such as the NIDAQ driver software, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Borland C++.

This module offers +15 V of maximum regulated output voltage (V+), a line regulation o 0.02%/V typical, a load regulation of 0.3% typical, and 170 mA maximum of current output. The user should fuse V+ and V- supplies with 250 mA quick-acting fuses on the module. Thus, in case of a fault, these fuses could safeguard the unit. However, it is possible to replace the fuses on the breadboard module.

SCXI-1181 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
