National Instruments SCXI-1125 Voltage Input Module

The NI SCXI-1125 Voltage Input Module (Part Number: 776872-25) offers 300 Vrms of working isolation and low pass filtering for every analog input channel–all 8 of them. Its architecture is perfect for intensification and confinement of millivolt sources, volt sources, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and thermocouples. The SCXI-1125 can multiplex its eight channels into a single channel of the DAQ gadget, while also allowing the user to add modules to expand channel count. This module additionally offers parallel-mode operation for expanded output capability.

The NI SCXI-1125 contains calibration hardware to invalid out mistake sources. With programmable offset calibration, software-programmable analog switches ground the inputs of every one of the instrumentation enhancers for offset error calibration. A locally available EEPROM stores the calibration constants for each channel for each input extend in a client characterized zone. The EEPROM also stores an arrangement of factory calibration constants in permanent memory, which cannot be altered. The NI-DAQ driver software straightforwardly utilizes the calibration constants to verify for gain and offset errors. The device has an output range of ±5.0 V, and weighs 22.6 oz. It has the dimensions: 7.4 x 6.8 x 1.2 in.

In this model, each channel incorporates an automatic low pass filter that the user can configure for 4 Hz or 10 kHz. With the SCXI-1125, the user can perform irregular scanning, meaning they can choose just the channels from which they need to pick information, then scan channels in any order. Each channel is independently confined with a working common-mode voltage of 300 Vrms between channels or channel to earth. Furthermore, the SCXI-1125 is CE guaranteed as double insulated, Category II of operational isolation.

The NI-DAQmx 9.0 (or later versions) driver software is required to configure and program the SCXI-1125. Also, the device is compatible with any one of the following application development environments (ADEs): LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio. The device software can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer tool.

The SCXI-1125 is regarded as Obsolete and is no longer available from the manufacturer National Instruments, but the Voltage Input Module will still be available for purchase and repairs in perpetuity with Apex Waves.
