National Instruments SCXI-1122 Isolated Transducer Multiplexer
The NI SCXI-1122 (Part Number: 776572-22) is a 16-Channel, Isolated Transducer Multiplexer Module, which is designed for signal conditioning. Apart from 16 isolated channels, this module has two isolated excitation channels as well. This module is an excellent choice for applications like the signal conditioning of strain gauges, thermistors, RTDs, volt sources, millivolt sources, and thermocouple.
This module is designed to operate in two modes. In two-wire scan mode, all 16 input channels are used for input. However, in four-wire scan mode eight of the upper channels are used as sense leads, while the eight lower eight channels are configured and utilized as current output channels. The NI SCXI-1122 can operate with the National Instruments Lab-PC+, MIO-16, and the SCXI-1200 boards. For single channel reads, the user can also utilize the PC-LPM-16 board with the SCXI-1122.
The NI SCXI-1122 has a 50-pin male rear connector and a 48-pin female front connector. The integrated amplifier of this module operates at 1 GΩ input impedance with normal power on and with 100 kΩ with power off. As far as its dynamic characteristics are concerned, this model comes with 4 Hz (-10 dB) or 4 kHz software selectable bandwidth. This module has a 3-pole RC, integrated filter, which is designed to operate at 4 Hz (-10 dB) cutoff frequency and 60 dB at 4 Hz bandwidth NMR. In addition, this module has 2 output channels. The voltage and current level remain around 3.333 V ±0.04% and 1.0 mA ±0.04% respectively.
