National Instruments SCXI-1000 Chassis
The NI SCXI 1000 (Part Numbers: 776570-01, 776570-02, 776570-03, 776570-04, 776570-05, 776570-06, 776570-07, 778570-01, 778570-04, 776570-09, 776570-10 ) is a durable, low-noise chassis for SCXI modules, which deals with all the planning, initiation, and routing of signals between different modules and the SCXI modules. For bigger frameworks or future developments, the user can interface a maximum of eight SCXI 1000 chassis with a solitary gadget or multi-function I/O modules for multi-channel applications. The SCXI-1000 offers seven diverse power alternatives that adjust to each country’s electricity requirements and can be reconfigured for use in different countries. The chassis can work with line voltages of 100, 120, 220, and 240 VAC. The voltage tumbler in the power passage module decides the voltage for which the chassis is arranged.
In multiplexed mode, Analog Input (AI) channels are multiplexed into one module output, so the cabled E/M Series DAQ gadget approaches the multiplexed output of the module and the outputs of all other multiplexed modules in the case. In parallel mode, the user requires a different E/M Series DAQ gadget for every module to send each of its output channels specifically to a different AI channel of the E/M Series DAQ gadget associated with the module.
The user can arrange the SCXI-1000 for one of 32 distinct addresses. Therefore, several NI SCXI-1000 can be associated to the same control source (the five switches on the front board of Slot 0 decide the frame address). Switches one through five represent values 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 when set to the ON position. When it is set to the OFF position, their esteem is zero. The chassis address is the whole of the switch esteems. The NI device weighs 10 oz, and measures 9.8 x 7.7 x 7.0 in. in physical dimensions. It dissipates power at 7 W per slot, has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C.
The status of the SCXI-1000 is now Obsolete and it is no longer available from the manufacturer National Instruments, but the chassis will still be available in perpetuity for both purchase and repairs with Apex Waves.
