National Instruments 777687-10 Connector and Shell Assembly Kit 

Part Number 777687-10 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCXI-1310 Connector and Shell Assembly Kit. These kits can be used to build signal cables to connect to various SCXI module inputs. The eyelet-type ends in the connector allow easy hook-and-solder signal connection. Make sure that you use a shell to cover and protect the connector after you build the cable. 

The 777687-10 is a 96-pin connector-and-shell assembly typically used with the low-voltage SCXI modules. This means it should not be used with hazardous voltages i.e. voltages exceeding 42 Vrms. Other connector-and-shell assemblies, like the SCXI-1330, can also be used with high-voltage modules. 

To set up and use the 777687-10, you will need the following accessories: the connector-and-assembly kit featuring a connector housing, a 96-pin connector, an installation guide, a TBX cable adapter, a SCXI module, a 0.125 in. flathead screwdriver. To build the assembly and mount it to the SCXI module, you should first build the connector-and-shell assembly by looking at the diagram that comes with the kit. Then, the SCXI chassis is turned off, and the computer that contains the plug-in-board is turned off or the board is disconnected from the SCXI chassis.

This is followed by connecting the TBX cable adapter to the appropriate SCXI module and securing it by tightening both the thumb screws. Lastly, the connector-and-shell-assembly kit is connected to the module front connector and it is secured by tightening both the mounting screws.
