The part number 776572-63R from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the SCXI-1163R SSR Relay module. This is a 32-channel solid-state relay (SSR) module organized into 8 optically isolated banks of 4 relays each. It can handle a maximum switching voltage of 240 VAC and 240 VDC and common mode isolation of 250 Vrms between banks and bank to ground. The module is capable of withstanding up to 500 Volts of impulse voltage and can provide a maximum switching power of 60 watts per channel with a maximum switching or carrying a current of 1 Ampere per channel.
This module has a maximum relay set time of 0.6 ms and a relay reset time of 0.1 ms. Based on the load conditions, this module has a mechanical life expectancy of 5 million cycles and an electrical life expectancy ranging from 5 million cycles at 10 Volts DC. With an on-resistance of 8 Ω, this module provides reliable switching performance. The output capacitance is 110 pF at 50 V and 1 MHz. For a more efficient operation of this relay module, it has a low current leakage of 1 µA. This module is compatible with TTL and CMOS on the Operating System Windows 2000/NT/XP with the recommended Software LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, and VI Logger and a driver Software NI-DAQ 7 and NI-SWITCH.
This module features electromechanical non-latching relays with gold-clad silver alloy contact material helping increase the life of the material and provide low contact resistance to ensure reliable connections. It also has input-output connectors of Two 62 pin D sub providing ease in connections with other compatible devices. This module fits into a PXI-2566 or SCXI-1166 with dimensions 10 by 16 cm (3.9 by 6.3 in.) or 3.0 by 17.3 by 19.6 cm (1.2 by 6.7 by 7.6 in.).
It has an operating temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius with relative humidity of 5% to 85% non-condensing. It is recommended to install this module at an altitude of 2000 meters with a pollution degree of 2.
