National Instruments  776572-21 Universal Input Module for SCXI 

Part Number 776572-21 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCXI-1121 Universal Input Module. This module is ideal for many sensor and signal inputs that require isolation such as strain gauges, RTDs, thermistors, thermocouples, volt and millivolt sources. The module operates in two modes: the Parallel-Output mode and the Multiplexed-Output mode. 

The 776572-21 features four isolated input channels and four isolated excitation channels that are all isolated and independently configured using jumpers. For the analog inputs, the gain can be tuned using jumpers to values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1,000, or 2,000. Likewise, the output range of the 776572-21 is ±5 V, while the gain accuracy is 0.15% of full scale. Filtering is done by a 3-pole RC-type filter whose cutoff frequency is also jumper selectable taking values of 4 Hz (–10 dB) or 10 kHz (–3 dB). The rise time in the analog input is 0.12 sec at 4 Hz and 70 µsec for 10 KHz while the slew rate is 0.15 V/µsec. The input protection (continuous) is 250 Vrms (maximum) whereas output protection is continuous short-to-ground. Furthermore, the maximum power dissipation of the module is 7.5 W. 

The 776572-21 measures 1.2 in. × 6.8 in. × 7.4 in. in physical dimensions and weighs 23.55 oz. A 50-pin male ribbon cable is used as the rear connector whereas a 32-pin DIN C connector is used as front connector, which also features a 18-screw terminal adapter. The recommended temperature range for the operation of the 776572-21 is 0 °C to 50 °C at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. On the other hand, it can be stored at -20 to 70 °C. For safety purposes, it is recommended  to connect voltages that meet the limit of 250 Vrms, continuous between both channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground. The module meets the following standards of safety for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1
