National Instruments PCI-6123 Multifunction I/O Device
The PCI-6123 (Part numbers: 779409-01, 779408-01, 191852C-04, 191852F-03L) is a Multifunction I/O Device from National Instruments. The device comes with eight analog input channels. The NI PCI-6123 Multifunction I/O Device also has eight pseudodifferential analog input channels with 16 bit analog input resolution and 4960 uV analog input absolute accuracy within the ±10 V range. There are also eight bidirectional digital channels (with a TTL/CMOS compatibility), which have a frequency rate of 10 MHz and two 24-bit counters/timers. The device has a sampling rate of 500 kS per second per channel. It is equipped with a 68-pin male SCSI-II type I/O connector. The NI PCI-6123 incorporates the PCI Bus to fulfill operational requirements, which includes both the master and slave bus interface.
The NI PCI-6123 device offers trigger mechanisms, which includes analog and digital trigger capabilities. The user can make use of any input channel as the source for the analog trigger. This device allows the user to program the hysteresis. The digital triggers of the device are TTL compatible. The device has a pulse width of 10 Nano-seconds in one minute. The NI PCI-6123 Multifunction I/O Device can be used for applications, such as high-energy physics, IF digitization, ultrasound and sonar testing, transient recording, and various other high-speed, high-channel count applications.
This Multifunction I/O Device can be programmed with various software types offered by National Instruments, such as LabVIEW 8.2 or higher, Measurement Studio 7.x or higher, LabWindows/CVI 7.x or higher, and Signal Express version 3 or higher. The NI PCI-6123 has several other types of compatible software, including VI Logger 2.x or higher, Visual Basic, C/C++, and C#, and Visual Studio .NET. This device can be used with the NI-DAQmx driver. The NI PCI-6123 device complies with various safety standards, including IEC 61010-1, UL 61010-1, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1, and EN 61010-1. The NI PCI-6123 operates perfectly with a Windows 2000/NT/XP operating system.
The NI device measures 12.3 x 4.2 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a noncondensing humidity range of 10 to 90% RH.
