National Instruments 778204-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module

National Instruments' 778204-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module, which is a member of the PXI-6115 Model series, is made to meet a variety of requirements related to industrial automation. For applications requiring synchronized analog input (AI), analog output (AO), and digital input/output (DIO) features, this multifunction data acquisition (DAQ) device provides a comprehensive solution.

The 778204-01 allows four analog inputs to be sampled simultaneously at a maximum sampling rate of 10 MS/s per channel. It has a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) per channel. Two 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with voltage output generation capabilities are also included. Because of this, it can be used for tasks like stimulus/response applications, where exact synchronization between AI, AO, and DIO is essential.

Operations related to digital signal processing and control are made easier by the 778204-01's eight DIO channels, which are compatible with TTL/CMOS logic levels. To further facilitate accurate timing measurements and pulse production, it also has two 24-bit counters and a frequency scaler.

For performing tasks involving timing, the device makes use of the NI data acquisition system timing controller (DAQ-STC). Controlling AO, AI, and general-purpose counter/timer functions is the responsibility of three timing groups that make up the DAQ-STC. Applications like buffered pulse generation and equivalent time sampling are made possible by these timing groups, which have a maximum timing resolution of 50 ns.

The 778204-01 uses the Real-Time System Integration (RTSI) bus to allow more measuring devices to be synchronized seamlessly. As a result, system accuracy and dependability are improved by more easily coordinating timing and triggering events amongst various DAQ devices.

With software configuration and calibration that doesn't require switches or jumpers, the 778204-01 is made with user convenience in mind.
