National Instruments PXIe-AWG5101 PXI Waveform Generator Bundle
The National Instruments PXIe-AWG5101 (Part Number: 867120-03) is an integrated PXI waveform generator bundle customized for applications involving automated test and measurement systems. The PXIe-1083, a solid five-slot PXI Express chassis, is included, as well as the PXIe-5413, a high-resolution two-channel arbitrary waveform generator. Also included are appropriate accessories in the form of SMA cables for signal routing, a Thunderbolt cable for fast data transfer to the host controller, and an international power cord. This package provides an overall and complete hardware platform for building a modular instrument platform.
At the core of this PXIe-AWG5101 bundle, the PXIe-5413 waveform generator performs with great signal fidelity, 20 MHz bandwidth, 16 bits and 800 MS/s of sample rate. It has been developed to supply a large number of standard function waveforms, including sine, square, ramp and triangle waveforms, as well as more complicated arbitrary waveforms produced by the user. This capability is essential for those applications requiring exact simulation of a signal, such as validation of components, stimulus of prototypes and functional tests. The two individual channels of this instrument allow for simultaneous multichannel output that is required when testing multiport devices or for the production of complicated phase-coherent signals.
The PXIe-1083 chassis forms the centre of the system, providing reliable power supply and timing synchronization. Its hybrid slots provide for the accommodation of both PXI-Express modules and legacy PXI modules. This gives great flexibility in the expansion of the system. The chassis is responsible for the exact timing and synchronization between the instruments via integrated reference clocks and trigger (timing) buses. Such an arrangement is a fundamental necessity in the improvement of any multi-modular test stands. This bundle is ideally suited for integration with research, validation and production test systems in industries such as aerospace, telecommunications, electronics manufacturing and others, where a reliable, scalable and accurate resource is required for complicated and fast demand of signals and waveforms.
