National Instruments PXI-4132 PXI Source Measure Unit
The National Instruments PXI-4132 (part numbers 780558-01 and 190463E-01L) is a 10 pA, ±100 V PXI Source Measure Unit, or SMU. This high-precision, programmable SMU has a single isolated SMU channel featuring a four-quadrant output that comes integrated with external guarding as well as four-wire sense. The PXI-4132 is considered a viable solution for precise leakage measurements on ICs, PCBs, cables, and other discrete components because it comes featured with better integrated guarding. With the PXI-4132 Precision SMU, the user can proceed with various high-speed current-voltage measurements on a broad range of components, including organic LEDs and diodes. In addition, the user can also synchronize and operate multiple PXI-4132 modules with the help of the PXI backplane. This arrangement provides better high-speed I-V measurements on complex devices such as transistors.
As far as its measurement capabilities are concerned, the NI PXI-4132 offers a 4,200 updates/s maximum source update rate and a 500 ns trigger-to-source delay. This Source Measure Unit supports various types of input triggers, such as start, sequence, advance, source, measure, etc. This model utilizes PXI trigger lines <0...7> as sources and destinations for triggers.
The National Instruments PXI-4132 SMU can generate different output triggers (events), including source complete, sequence engine done, sequence iteration complete, and measure complete. By design, this PXI Source Measure Unit is a 3U type, one-slot, PXI module with nominal dimensions of 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm × 21.6 cm, which weighs around 295 g. This module comes equipped with 8-position, 5.08 mm COMBICON front panel connectors.
Apex Waves will continue to buy, sell, and repair EOL NI hardware in perpetuity. While the PXI-4132 entered the NI Maintenance phase on December 30, 2022, it will remain available with Apex Waves. Request your quote today!
