National Instruments PXI-2520 PXI Relay Module
The National Instruments PXI-2520 (Part Number: 778572-20) is a general-purpose switching / PXI relay module that is equipped with single-pole and single-throw (SPST) independent-type relays. Each relay engages with very little resistance and has a low thermal mismatch. This model supports internal relay account tracking, and it is completely programmable via software. By efficiently coupling voltage/current capacity and relay density, the PXI Relay Module is perfect for loads of automated test equipment (ATE) or for controlling heaters, lights, and fans.
The NI PXI-2520 incorporates switching inductive loads that can create high-voltage transients more than the module's rated voltage. Without additional protection, these transients can interfere with module activity and impact relay life. DC path resistance commonly stays low for the life of the relay, and the path resistance rises rapidly above the predefined estimate toward the end of the relay life. Load ratings apply to the relays that are utilized inside of the specification for the module before the end of the relay life.
The PXI-2520 PXI Relay Module includes a cycle power process, which consists of completely removing power from the gadget and its components and allowing it to adequately discharge. This procedure incorporates a total shutdown of the PC, as well as a chassis containing the gadget. A reboot is not enough for the completion of this procedure. This model’s memory requires energy to keep up the stored information. When power is removed from this memory, its contents are lost.
