National Instruments PXIe-6381 PXI Multifunction I/O Module
The PXIe-6381 (part number: 790689-01) PXI multifunction I/O module is a high precision analog input module platform. It supports data acquisition requirements with reliability. It is designed for precise voltage measurements in PXI Express systems based platforms. The module provides 8 differential or 16 single-ended channels. Each channel uses an 18 bits ADC for high resolution sampling accuracy in operation. The DNL performance ensures no missing codes across the complete conversion range during normal operation. The PXIe-6381 uses single channel sampling that reaches a maximum rate of 625 kS per second reliably sustained. The multi-channel operation supports an aggregate maximum sampling rate of 500 kS per second total. The module imposes no minimum sample rate limitations for flexible acquisition control in practice. Timing resolution is specified at 10 ns for precise synchronization of signals operations. Timing accuracy is maintained within 50 ppm of the selected sample rate during operation.
The PXI multifunction I/O module uses DC input coupling for accuracy stability. It supports input range that include ±0.1 V through ±10 V selections for diverse measurement needs. The maximum working voltage equals ±11 V relative to AI GND reference for safety margins. This limit includes both signal level and common mode voltage conditions during operation periods. The CMRR is rated at 110 dB from DC to 60 Hz operation range specification. High CMRR ensures strong rejection of low frequency interference in measurement environments stability. Input bias current is specified at ±100 pA for each channel during operation stability.
The adjacent channel crosstalk is rated at -75 dB at 100 kHz test condition. Non-adjacent channel crosstalk reaches minus 95 dB at 100 kHz test condition level. The small signal bandwidth reaches 750 kHz with the input filter disabled during operation mode. The filter enabled bandwidth of this unit is limited to 40 kHz for noise reduction control. The bandwidth characteristics remain consistent across all supported voltage input ranges for reliability assurance. The input FIFO provides storage for 2,047 samples per channel during acquisition buffering operations. The NI PXIe-6381 PXI multifunction I/O module has a scan list memory that supports up to 4,095 channel entries for complex sequencing tasks.
