National Instruments PXIe-1065 PXI Chassis

The NI PXIe-1065 (Part Number: 779730-01, 194743D-01L, 194743C-01) PXI Chassis integrates a high-performance 18-slot PXI Express backplane with a high-output power supply and a hardware feature that was designed for maximized utility in many types of applications. The PXIe 1065 Chassis comes with 9 PXI peripheral slots, 1 PXI Express slot with system timing capabilities, 3 PXI Express slots, and 4 hybrid slots that can function with both PXI and PXI Express peripheral modules.

The modular design of the NI PXIe 1065 Chassis guarantees the highest standard of maintenance, thereby having an extremely low mean time to repair (MTTR). The PXIe-1065 PXI Chassis is in full compliance with the PXI-5 PXI Express Hardware Specification since it provides advanced timing and synchronization.

The PXIe-1065 operates with software such as the PXI Platform Services 2.0 or higher, and the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Also, it has a 9-pin D-SUB (DB-9) connector, two BNC I/O connectors on the rear of the device-which are used in supplying the backplane with PXI_CLK10 or routing the backplane’s PXI_CLK10 to another chassis.

Some of the key features of the NI PXIe-1065 Chassis include high performance for instrumentation requirements, dependability, and multi-chassis support. The NI PXIe-1065 Chassis has up to 1 GB/s dedicated bandwidth (x4 PCIe) per PXI Express slot and a 30 W per slot cooling that meets increased PXIe cooling requirements. The low-jitter internal 10 MHz and 100 MHz reference clock function with the PXI and PXIe slots with ± 25 ppm stability, respectively. This PXI Chassis operates quietly at 43.6 dBA and from 0 to 30 °C. The PXIe 1065 Chassis also comes with a variable speed fan controller, which optimizes cooling and acoustic emissions, as well as a remote power inhibit control.

There are also several optional features for this PXI Chassis, including: front and back rack-mount kits, a replacement power supply shuttle, EMC filler panels, and slot blockers for optimized cooling performance.

The PXIe-1065 has been declared Obsolete and is no longer available directly from the manufacturer (National Instruments), but the PXI Chassis will remain available for purchase and repairs in perpetuity with Apex Waves!
