National Instruments PXI-1011 PXI Chassis

The National Instruments PXI-1011 Chassis (Part Number: 777965-01) is a smart integration of an 8-slot SCXI subsystem with a high-performance 4-slot PXI subsystem to offer a comprehensive solution for signal switching and conditioning applications. The PXI section of this chassis is designed to accept an MXI-3 interface, an embedded controller, or a wide range of modules, such as digital I/O (DIO), multifunction I/O (MIO), and computer-based instrument modules. With this chassis, the user can utilize the 8 SCXI slots for the integration of multiple signal conditioning modules into the PXI infrastructure. These modules can provide digital and analog input conditioning, isolation, and a variety of other functions. The device has a maximum sampling rate of 333 KS/s.

The National Instruments PXI-1011 Chassis also allows the user to daisy-chain an additional SCXI chassis to achieve the addition of even more signal-conditioning channels. This chassis has a structural design and can be considered a viable solution for a broad range of applications. The NI PXI 1011 supports advanced synchronization and timing features. The PXI 1011 also has integrated overcurrent and overvoltage protection features.

This chassis comes equipped with an integrated interconnection between the SCXI and PXI subsystems that allows the installation of a DAQ/DMM module in the 4th PXI slot. This arrangement enables the user to control an SCXI subsystem without any additional cabling. This PXI chassis can be operated over a broad input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC and offers 140 watts of PXI maximum usable power. The NI PXI-1011 can be utilized in an instrument rack or on a bench, allowing the user flexibility with the chassis for their specific application requirements. The device has an AC input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC and an AC input frequency range of 47 to 440 Hz. The device weighs 20 lbs. and measures 17.6 x 17.3 x 7.0 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C and a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C.

PXI-1011's obsolete status has been announced by National Instruments, but it will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
