The National Instruments 783588-01 PXIe Chassis is a high-performance test and measurement device that is built to address the requirements of different industrial automation applications. With a maximum PXI bandwidth delivery rate of 24 GB/s and an 18-slot backplane (16 hybrid slots and 1 PXI Express System timing slot), the 783588-01 PXI Chassis is a special part number for the PXIe-1085 Model series. This chassis's high-bandwidth, fully hybrid backplane enables the instrumentation modules to be arranged wherever they choose.
The 783588-01 chassis combines a high-output power supply with a structurally optimized design for maximum usage across a variety of applications. It is made to fulfill a wide range of high-performance test and measurement needs. Because of its modular architecture, which guarantees excellent maintainability and a low mean time to repair (MTTR), it operates more efficiently.
With its enhanced timing and synchronization characteristics, this chassis fully complies with the PXI-5 PXI Express Hardware Specification. It meets increasing cooling demands with 38.25 W of cooling per slot and offers up to 8 GB/s (single direction) of dedicated bandwidth per PXI Express slot, delivering great performance for instrumentation applications.
The 783588-01 chassis is outfitted with internal reference clocks operating at 10 MHz and 100 MHz, which minimize jitter and guarantee reliable operation within ± 25 ppm of stability. With a variable speed fan controller that maximizes cooling and reduces acoustic emissions, it runs silently at 51.2 dBA between 0 and 30 °C. Operational convenience is improved with remote power-inhibit control.
In terms of AC input, the chassis accepts an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, with an operating voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC and an input current rating of 12 to 6 A. It provides effective power management with load regulation that ensures voltage stability, as well as over-current protection via a 15 A circuit breaker.
For cooling, the 783588-01 chassis utilizes forced air circulation through three 169 cfm fans with High/Auto speed selector, ensuring proper airflow from the bottom to the top of the module. With two built-in fans, forced air circulation is used to control power supply cooling. The fans suck air in from the right side of the chassis and release it from the left.
