The National Instruments 781368-01 PXI Chassis is a part of the PXIe-1071 Model series. The 781368-01, a 4-slot PXI Express chassis, is a flexible solution for a broad range of test and measurement applications. Its high bandwidth backplane allows traditional PXI hybrid-compatible modules or PXI Express modules to be seamlessly integrated, offering flexibility for a range of configurations.
This chassis, which is designed for both efficiency and versatility, can accommodate PXI-1/CompactPCI hybrid slot-compatible modules as well as 3U PXI Express and Compact PCI Express. Optimized connectivity and performance are guaranteed by each hybrid slot's 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI link and x4 PCI Express link, which are both directly connected to the system slot.
For desktop and portable applications, the 781368-01 chassis's compact yet sturdy design is perfect. Its broad voltage range (100 to 240 VAC) of operation made possible by its universal AC input ensures compatibility with a variety of power supplies. In addition, the chassis features an advanced cooling system with auto/high temperature-controlled fan speed, which reduces noise while preserving ideal operating parameters.
The chassis is easy to use and may be mounted on a rack. It can be made more portable by adding a carrying handle. Further enhancing its capabilities and meeting a variety of system needs is its 4-slot wide PXI Express integrated controller.
With support for both PXI and PXI Express modules, the 781368-01 chassis enables high-bandwidth systems. It provides a wide range of connectivity choices with three PXI Express slots and four PXI hybrid-compatible slots. Three x4 PCI Express links are installed in the PXI Express system slot, and three hybrid slots connect to the 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI bus or an x4 PCI Express link.
The 781368-01 guarantees accurate timing for PXI modules by adhering to PXI timing and synchronization rules. It has a reference clock running at 10 MHz with low jitter and slot-to-slot skew. The chassis provides PXI Express modules with extra features like a differential 100 MHz reference clock, which improves synchronization even more.
