National Instruments 777795-01 PXI Analog Output Module
The part number 777795-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXI-6713 Analog Output Module. The module features 8 voltage output channels, each with a 12-bit resolution digital-to-analog converter to convert the signals to analog after performing digital signal processing techniques. The maximum update rate is 1 Mega samples per second per channel when using host PC memory and also 1 Mega Samples per second when using the local First In First Out module for continuous waveform generation.
The 777795-01 module supports a First In First Out buffer size of 16,384 samples allowing it to quickly generate high-resolution signals for processing. The analog output channels provide programmable voltage ranges of ± 10 Volts or an external reference input range of ± 11 Volts. The outputs are designed with a low output impedance of 0.1 Ω and can drive up to ±5 mA allowing different types of loads to operate. The device includes short-circuit protection to the ground protecting its internal circuity from damaging permanently.
The Analog Output Module has 8 digital I/O lines that are TTL/CMOS compatible and can be used for static digital input and output operations. The device features two 24-bit counter/timers and one 4-bit frequency scaler allowing it to produce clock signals and perform time-related measurements. The counter/timers are compatible with TTL/CMOS logic levels and support base clock frequencies of 20 MHz and 100 kHz.
The module has a slew rate of 20 V/µs which is the ratio of the change of output voltage with respect to the change in the input voltage. The device has a noise level of 200 µVrms and guarantees a settling time of 3 µs to ± 0.5 Least Significant Bit accuracy, allowing the signals to update quickly and precisely without any errors. The 777795-01 also features low total harmonic distortion of -80 dB when generating a 10 Volts, 1,000-point, 750 Hz sine wave, maintaining signal integrity and quality. This module is compact and has dimensions of 16 × 10 cm (6.3 × 3.9 in.) and weighs approximately 126 grams making it light and portable.
