The PXIe-4322 (Part Numbers: 782878-01) by National Instruments is a channel-to-channel isolated analog output module designed for precise, simultaneous voltage and current outputs. It integrates signal conditioning and 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) on a single device, optimizing space and enhancing measurement accuracy.

With its 16-bit R-2R DACs installed in each of its 8 analog output channels, the PXIe-4322 provides high-resolution output with a maximum DNL of ±1 LSB and INL of ±4 LSBs. It is capable of delivering +/-16 V at 20 mA in voltage mode or +/-20 mA in current mode, operating at up to 250 kS/s per channel. It is noteworthy that it can both sink and source current, depending on the needs for the application. The PXIe-4322 guarantees safety and dependability in measurement setups with its 300 Vrms CAT II channel-to-channel and channel-to-earth isolation.

The voltage channels can be stacked up to 128 V per module. In order to obtain greater current outputs, channels can also be connected in series (unless they are in current mode), which increases application versatility. The NI-DAQmx driver makes it simple to program the module, which can be used for hardware-timed single-point operations and multidevice tasks. It enables smooth integration into current systems because it closely synchronizes with PXI I/O instruments as part of the PXI platform.

The PXIe-4322 ensures high-speed data transmission by offering a maximum update rate of 250 kS/s per channel through the use of PXI Express technology. It provides differential signaling (PXIe_DSTAR) and a 100 MHz differential system clock (PXIe_CLK100), among other sophisticated timing and synchronization features. The module offers versatility in system setup as it may be used with both x1 and x4 PXI Express or PXI Express hybrid slots. It further simplifies data transfer procedures by including a single DMA channel.

The PXIe-4322, which offers screw-terminal connectivity for simple rewiring and connecting channels in parallel, pairs with the NI TB-4322 front-mount terminal block in order to facilitate easy connectivity. The ability to have terminal blocks recognized immediately by software makes maintenance and troubleshooting even easier.
