National Instruments PXI-4224 PXI Analog Input Module

The National Instruments PXI-4224 (Part Numbers: 779182-01, 191288F-02) is a channel-to-channel isolated analog input module with built-in signal conditioning. The PXI-4224 isolation guarantees exact, safe estimations even within the presence of high common-mode voltages. It is a perfect answer for an expansive assortment of utilizations, including separated thermocouple estimations, multichannel data logging, and fuel cell and battery tests. This model gives 60 VDC (42 Vrms) CAT I channel-to-channel isolation and offers programmable gain settings per channel to guarantee maximum estimation exactness. The included NI-DAQmx driver simplifies hardware configuration and estimation automation.

The NI PXI-4224 connection interface consists of a 25-pin D-SUB connector and one SMB connector. The user can program SMB connectors as a PFI 0 line or for external calibration, with each set of screw terminals labeled according to the corresponding differential input signal for the NI PXI-4224. To associate a signal to the NI PXI-4224, utilize a TB-2725 terminal block designed particularly for the NI-PXI-4224, or utilize a 25-stick D-sub to build a connector to suit the application. To associate a ground-reference signal source with the NI PXI-4224, the signal (V+) is associated with the NI PXI-4224 channel (AI X +). The signal SIG reference (V–) is associated with the channel reference (AI X –). The association with this signal source is indistinguishable from the ground-referenced signal association with the expansion of shielding around the field wiring. This shielding scheme is successful at decreasing capacitive or electrically coupled noise. Similar concerns regarding the difference in ground possibilities also apply to this configuration.

The Obsolete Status of the PXI-4224 has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
