SignalCraft SC2215 PXIe Programmable Gain Amplifier
The SignalCraft SC2215 (Part Number: 787813-01) is a two-channel PXIe Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA). The amplifier's compact, one-slot PXI Express module design makes it simple to integrate into a range of test systems and offers low noise and a high output power. The SCC2215 is appropriate for high-volume manufacture and testing of receivers and RF/microwave designs because it provides high-frequency test and measurement solutions to a variety of applications.
The SC2215 provides more than 31.5 dB of programmable gain adjustment in 0.5 dB increments for each channel. For usage in bidirectional measurement applications where a Transmit Port and Receive Port are shared, the SC2215's Channel 0 has a "Direct Path," which enables the user to go around some of the channel's amplification stages. The SC2215's Channel 1 can generate up to 28 dBm of saturated output power at lower frequency ranges and has a greater output drive capability than Channel 0. When the user needs more sensitivity in their tests, they can use both channels together to achieve a tiny signal gain of up to 70 dB. The customer should also take into account the SC2215 amplifier's important features, which include a typical output IP3 of 33 dBm below 12 GHz and a noise figure of 4.1 dB or less on Channel 1 from 1 to 14 GHz. The frequency range of the PGA is 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz.
The SC2215 Programmable Gain Amplifier incorporates temperature sensors for the same outputs as well as power monitors for each channel's output in addition to solid-state switching. When used continually for production testing, the instrument's comprehensive self-testing and real-time output power level tracking allow for a notable increase in total system availability. The wireless communication, aerospace, and defense industries that demand accuracy in RF signal generation and/or control can use this programmable gain amplifier in a variety of configurations for automated production test systems and benchtop verification.
