National Instruments PXIe-AWG5102 Waveform Generator Bundle
The National Instruments PXIe-AWG5102 Bundle (Part Number: 867121-01) includes the PXIe-5433 waveform generator module and the PXIe-1083 chassis, producing a compact packet generating and testing environment that is PC-controlled for complex signal simulation and device testing. This complete system directly connects to the computer using Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C, allowing full control and data transfer from the instrument without any additional external interfacing. This bundle includes the waveform generator module, chassis, and all interconnect cabling necessary to have an integrated and powerful system, leaving the limitations of bench top instrumentation.
Designed for advanced signal generation, this system features two independent output channels, having an 80 MHz bandwidth and a significant ±12 V output range. It can produce high-fidelity signals, has 16-bit precision and has an 800 MS/s maximum update rate, with 128 MB of channel-specific memory for the storage of complex arbitrary signal waveforms. One key feature of this instrumentation is the ability for the modules to be synchronously interfaced, since the PXI backplane has the microscopic timing and trigger signals that can be transferred to other modules for precise and simultaneous measurements in totally automated device validation evaluation.
The core feature of scalability available (of this system) is the four additional PXI slots in the chassis, so that other instruments such as oscilloscopes or digital multimeters can be added to produce a consolidated and synchronized test system within a single package. The organization of controls of the system can be done through NI's InstrumentStudio software. This is cloud no-code software that produces a single user interface for all instrumentation so that project work, debugging and instrument interfacing can be accomplished rapidly. The whole of the system is programmable with LabVIEW, Python and MATLAB, so this whole system of the PXIe-AWG5102 Bundle can be termed a scalable system and future-proof solution for demanding automated test and measurement work.
