National Instruments PCI-5406 Waveform Generator Device
The PCI-5406 (Part number: 779658-01) is a Waveform Generator Device designed by National Instruments. This model is equipped with 40 MHz bandwidth and 16-Bit resolution. The voltage range is from -5 V to +5 V. The NI PCI-5406 device can operate at a sample rate of 100 MS/s. The sample rate can be chosen up to 4X digital interpolation and is adjustable based on the application and signal requirements. This model is structured with 20 and 40 MHz arbitrary function generators (AFGs). The AFGs have up to 16 bits resolution. It also has an onboard memory of 32kB.
The PCI 5406 Waveform Generator Device can perform unparalleled analog output performance. It also comes with an analog filter. The analog filter is elliptical and has seven poles. It is integrated to the output analog path. It overpowers high frequency signal images. This device uses direct digital synthesis (DDS). DDS helps to generate waveforms exactly. This device can generate signals to correctly create waveforms. The NI PCI‑5406 can produce standard functions, including: sine, square, triangle, and ramp signals. This device can also produce other signals, such as DC signals and pseudorandom noise.
Every NI PCI-5406 device is calibrated through NIST traceable standards. The NI PCI-5406 has built in correction orientations, which reduces the environmental effects on timing errors, offset, and DC gain. National Instruments offers support and services to fulfill the user requirements all over the world. NI service levels include research, design, validation, and developing to meet user requirements.
