National Instruments FP-TB-10 FieldPoint Terminal Base
The FP-TB-10 (part number: 777519-10) is a FieldPoint Terminal Base manufactured by National Instruments that accommodates up to 6 of the FieldPoint dual-channel I/O modules. Each dual-channel I/O module used with the FP-TB-10 is independently isolated. Dual-channel modules used with the terminal base can function with any of the eight or sixteen standard channel modules in the same FieldPoint bank. The device is equipped with 36 screw terminals.
The FP-TB-10 allows hot plug-and-play live swapping of modules. You can insert or swap any module while the network module is powered and running. Replacing a module with another module of the same type allows for uninterrupted operations, whereas if a module of a different type is installed, the FP-TB-10 will reset itself and all six of its modules, and it will request new configuration settings from the network module. When designing applications for this terminal base, you must carefully monitor your system's power consumption. In some applications, the power drawn by the modules can limit the total number of I/O modules you can connect to a single network module, as the entire setup must not exceed a total power consumption limit of 9 watts.
The FP-TB-10 uses a working operating voltage of up to 250 Vrms. The field wiring is protected from the faulty voltage up to 2500 Vrms. The FieldPoint Terminal Base can be clipped or mounted and locked onto standard 35 mm DIN rails or panels. The terminal base is designed for applications that require channel-to-channel isolation and applications involving hazardous potentials.The device weighs 10.2 oz and has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C with a storage temperature range of -40 to 100°C.
