National Instruments FP-AO-V10 Analog Voltage Output Module
The FP-AO-V10 (Part Number 778070-6) is an analog voltage output module manufactured by National Instruments. The analog voltage output module contains 2 output channels, which contain a common reference terminal. The FP-AO-V10 comes with a maximum output current of 10 mA per channel.
The National Instruments FP-AO-V10 offers 12-bit DAC output resolution. The FP-AO-V10 is developed for FP terminal (TB) blocks. FP-TB terminal bases provide universal mechanical mounting, but wiring layout depends on module type. The terminal blocks offer appropriate field wiring connections with screw and spring terminals. This analog voltage output module has the operating temperature range of -20 to 70°C.
When using the 778070-06 with Fieldpoint terminal blocks, such as the FP-TB-10, the user must be aware of some safety measures. First, the isolation of the FP-TB-10 and the dual-channel modules is from input to output, which means there is no isolation between channels on the same module. Therefore, if any of the channels are wired at hazardous potential, all other connected circuits and devices must be properly insulated from human contact.
Similarly, the external supply voltages must not be shared with other devices unless they are properly isolated from human contact. Furthermore, when mounting the terminal bases, make sure it prevents accidental or unauthorized access to wiring with hazardous voltages. Moreover, since the isolation is certified for normal operating voltages of 250 Vrms, it should not be used as the sole isolating barrier between human contact and working voltages of over 250 Vrms.
