National Instruments FP-AI-C420 Analog Input Module

Designed to provide 12-bit resolution measurements, the NI FP-AI-C420 is a dual-channel analog input module. This module is designed for FieldPoint and can be plugged into an FP-TB-10 terminal base. Up to six FP-AI-C420 modules can be mounted on one FP-TB-10 terminal base, and multiple terminal bases may be used within one FieldPoint bank depending on power and network limits.

This module offers hot plug-and-play and DIN rail mounting. Its operating range is -40 to 70°C. Screw terminals are provided on the FP-TB-10 for field wiring connections to the FP-AI-C420. This module has an input range of 4 to 20 mA. This range makes the FP-AI-C420 an ideal choice for a broad range of industrial applications, such as flow meters, level transmitters, and temperature transmitters.

This analog input module requires 300 mW of power from the FieldPoint backplane power bus. Both channels on this module have a dedicated, programmable filter that can be set to operate with 20 Hz or 100 Hz bandwidth. Both channels share a common return reference, so applications requiring full isolation should use only one channel per module. The V and C terminals are provided on the FP-TB-10 terminal base and can be used to connect loop current transmitters and power supplies.
