National Instruments PXI-6052E Multifunction DAQ
The National Instruments PXI-6052E (Part Numbers: 777962-01, 186408E-01) is a 16-channel, 16-bit resolution multifunction DAQ, which is a member of the full-featured E Series. This single-slot PXI module features two analog outputs, analog/digital triggering, eight digital I/O lines, 15 analog input signal ranges, and two 24-bit counters/timers. The NI PXI-6052E offers real-time performance with LabVIEW and is fully compatible with other software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as VI Logger, Measurement Studio, and Visual Basic, C#, and C/C++. This multifunction DAQ can be configured and programmed with the NI-DAQ 7 driver software. To utilize the NI PXI-6052E, the user needs NI-DAQ, a computer, the DAQ device, and either LabVIEW or Measurement Studio (optional).
The National Instruments PXI-6052E offers 16 single-ended or 8 differential channels (software selectable per channel) and a 333 kS per second maximum sampling rate. While operating with the 20 V range selected, this model offers a ±10 V bipolar input range. However, at 100 mV (the lowest software-selectable range), the PXI-6052E provides a ±50 mV bipolar input range and a 0 to 100 mV unipolar input range. As far as its transferring characteristics are concerned, this model offers ±1.5 (typical) and ±3 (maximum) LSB. This DAQ also comes equipped with one frequency scaler. The DC-coupled device has 6 trigger lines with 1 star trigger and is equipped with 3 DMA channels.
The resolution of its counter/timers and frequency scalar is 24 bits and 4 bits, respectively; they are 5 VTTL/CMOS compatible. The recommended warm-up time for this multifunction DAQ is 15 minutes. The calibration interval is one year. The NI PXI-6052E comes equipped with a male SCSI-II type, 68-pin male SCSI-II I/O connector. This model also supports external input for analog or digital triggers (PFI 0/AI START TRIG) at 10 kΩ, with DC coupling. The device weighs 7.2 oz. and has the dimensions 6.3 x 3.9 in. It has a recommended operating temperature of 0 to 55 °C and a storage temperature of –20 to 70 °C.
