National Instruments DAQPad-6507 Digital I/O Device

The DAQPad-6507 (Part Number: 777405-01 is a legacy, 96-channel Digital Input/Output Device for computers with the universal serial bus (USB). The 96 channels of the device are managed through four 82C55A programmable peripheral interface (PPI’s). The device contains a high performance 24 or 96 digital input/output lines. The original equipment manufacturer for this state-of-the-art device DAQPad-6507 is National Instruments. The maximum transfer rate of the NI DAQPad-6507 is 60 S/s. The DAQPad-6507 device is equipped with 5V TTL/CMOS. This device is ideal for industrial process monitoring and control, lab testing, and production testing.

This device has the capability of hand shaking on 2 wire protocol. Handshaking requires 1 port. The user has the convenience of knowing the power up states of this device. If this device is connected to an external power supply, the power requirement is 9 to 30 VDC; 12 W maximum. For USB, the power requirement is 4.40 to 5.25 VDC; 220 mA typical, 500 mA maximum.

This Digital I/O Device comes with 100-screw terminals with a strain-relief clamp. In order to program the NI DAQPad-6507, the users must have NI-DAQ for PC Compatibles, LabVIEW for Windows, LabWindows/CVI, ComponentWorks, or VirtualBench. This device is a totally software configurable, hot plug and play device. The plug and play features query the device and distribute the necessary resources. The user can enjoy the real time performance of this device with LabVIEW. The DAQPad-6507 can be used with NI-DAQ 6.0 or 6.1 driver software for Windows 95 or NI-DAQ 6.5 or later for Windows 98.
