National Instruments part number 778964-01 is an identifying part number for the PXI-6515, a bank-isolated PXI Digital I/O Module. This 4-channel, bank-isolated module features a Maximum Voltage Range of 30 Volts and 32 Sink/Source Inputs and 32 Sink Outputs. The industrial digital I/O interface with eight banks of isolated channels allows users to wire each input bank in either a source or sink configuration. Programmable power-up states enable users to configure the initial output states in software, ensuring safe operation when connected to industrial actuators.
If a computer or application fails, the 778964-01 uses digital I/O watchdogs to switch to a configurable safe output state, which helps in detection and safe recovery from fault conditions. Additionally, programmable input filters eliminate glitches and spikes, providing debouncing for digital switches and relays through a software-selectable digital filter. This industrial digital I/O module is affordable and works well with various software programs, including LabVIEW, VISUAL C#, and Measurement Studio. This module protects against various fault conditions such as PCI Bus Failure, Application Crash, Driver Crash, and Computer Crash.
The 100-pin keyed female SCSI D-Type connector facilitates connection to shielded cables or 100-pin ribbon cables. It provides 125 mA for all channels per port, with 500 mA available for one channel per port. This module has some features such as; programmable input filters, high-current drive capabilities, programmable power-up states, change detection, programmable output states, and digital I/O watchdogs.
