The NI 778939-01 device includes programmable filters. These filters limit spikes/glitches and provide debouncing for digital relays/switches via a software-selectable digital filter. The 778939-01 operates with the NI-DAQmx driver software and can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. Starting up, the output drives of this device remain disabled. Users can set each output line to either the on or off state. Additionally, as this DIO device can monitor changes on all input lines or specific input lines, the user may design the module to trigger an interrupt if a deviation occurs on any input line.
It features common-mode isolation of 30 VDC for both bank-to-bank and bank-to-bus connections. Data transfers are facilitated through interrupts and programmed I/O. This NI device weighs 2.5 ounces and has physical dimensions of 5.54 inches by 4.47 inches. It's recommended for operation within a temperature range of 0°C to 55°C, with a storage range of -20°C to 70°C.
