National Instruments cFP-CB-1 Integrated Connector Block for Compact Fieldpoint
The cFP-CB-1 (part number: 778618-01) is an integrated connector block for wiring to Compact FieldPoint I/O. If it mounts to the backplane, then the cFP-CB-1 interfaces with sensors and actuators. The device is general-purpose and is designed to withstand hazardous voltage operation. The module's isothermal construction minimizes temperature gradients. Its terminals are wired with 16 to 26 AWG copper wire (the only exception is when it's with a sensing device), with 6 mm of insulation stripped from the end.
Compact FieldPoint thermocouple input modules can gauge the temperature of the terminals on the cFP-CB-1 Connector Block. The modules utilize this estimation, called the cool junction temperature, to make up for the thermoelectric voltages generated at these intersections. For the most precise chilly junction compensation, scattering by nearby modules (or different wellsprings of warmth sources) can cause mistakes in thermocouple estimations by warming the terminals—the device is equipped with 36 screw terminals. The cFP-CB-1 is outlined with a similar development to keep the terminals at a similar temperature. The NI device has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C and a storage temperature range of -55 to 85 °C. It has a maximum current of 4 A for its V and C terminals and 2 A for its other terminals.
A cFP-CB-1 Integrated Connector Block is required for each Compact FieldPoint I/O module. This model has tension discharge and coordinated depressions for link ties, as well as easy wiring with terminals with shading coding for voltage associations and normal associations. It is equipped with a 37-pin I/O connector. The device weighs 7.1 oz. and has a maximum cable diameter of 8 mm.
