National Instruments PXIe-4467 Sound and Vibration Module
The NI PXIe-4467 sound and vibration module is a signal acquisition device for measurement systems. It integrates high accuracy conversion analysis. It provides 2 simultaneously sampled input channels for coherent measurements. The module allows each channel to support differential or pseudo-differential configuration with 50 Ohms reference to chassis ground connection integrity assurance. The input coupling is selectable between AC and DC independently through software control interface for flexibility.
The input range supports ±42.4 V peak minimum and warranted for all configurations. The PXIe-4467 contains sensor open detection which has a readable software with defined excitation current thresholds for diagnostics. It reports 27.3 V voltage at 4 mA current and 26.9 V at 10 mA. The sound and vibration module also reports 26.4 V at 20 mA for sensor status verification accuracy. The ADC modulator sample rate is fixed at 8.125 MS/s for stable conversion. The supported sample rates range from 100 S/s to 250 kS/s for flexible acquisition needs.
The alias free bandwidth extends from DC to lesser of 0.454 fs or 101.536 kHz. The module uses a passband operation that spans DC to 0.454 fs ensuring accurate amplitude response across frequencies. Image rejection reaches 120 dB minimum within the specified frequency image range limits. The AC coupling filter provides a minus 3 dB cutoff frequency of 0.8 Hz. The -0.1 dB cutoff frequency is defined at 5.2 Hz for precision. The FIFO buffer size is 1023 samples for continuous streaming stability in operation. Data transfers support direct memory access and programmed I/O methods for efficiency.
The PXIe-4467 integrates with PXI Express platforms for synchronization. It ensures deterministic timing for sound and vibration testing. The 24-bit resolution enables wide dynamic range for low level vibration measurements. Delta sigma architecture provides high noise shaping and linearity across bandwidth for accuracy. The sound and vibration module independent channel configuration allows mixed coupling and grounding strategies simultaneously for complex setups. The DC coupling supports absolute measurements including static and quasi static signals. The sampling flexibility supports optimization between frequency coverage and data volume for system efficiency.
