National Instruments 777796-01 PXI Analog Output Module
National Instruments designed the 777796-01 static analog output module, which is a member of the PXI-6704 Model series. This module provides general-purpose digital I/O capabilities and enables accurate DC setpoint applications. It has 32 analog output channels in total—16 voltage and 16 current output channels. It also has eight 5 V TTL/CMOS digital I/O connections.
The 777796-01 module's individual channels each provide independent output voltage range settings, making it ideal for software-timed voltage and current output applications. Because of its adaptability, it may be used for a variety of DC setpoint and digital I/O applications, which makes it appropriate for use in production and laboratory testing as well as industrial process monitoring and control.
With its versatility, the module can be used to generate a wide range of signal kinds, such as LEDs, optically isolated solid-state relays, electromechanical relays, and analogue functionalities. Furthermore, it can excite precise transducers with voltage and current. Featuring transfer characteristics including Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1 LSB max and Integral Nonlinearity (INL) of ±1 LSB max, the 777796-01 module guarantees exact control over output signals with a 16-bit resolution. The 16-bit value ensures its monotonicity.
For voltage output, the 777796-01 PXI Analog Output Module offers a range of ±10.1 V with a DC output coupling and an output impedance of 0.1 Ω max. It can drive up to ±10 mA of current with a maximum load capacitance of 10,000 pF.
On the current output front, the module supports a range from 0.1 to 20.2 mA, functioning as a source without requiring an external excitation source. It maintains an output impedance of 1 GΩ min and complies with a 0 to 10 V output without clamping. Its absolute accuracy is ±2 μA max, with a noise level of 1 μArms, DC to 1 MHz.
There are eight TTL-compatible channels in the module's digital I/O section, and their power-on status is set to input (high impedance). Several software environments, such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, ComponentWorks, or VirtualBench, can be used in conjunction with NI-DAQ to program the 777796-01 module.
