Agilent E6621A PXT LTE Wireless Communications Test Set

The Agilent E6621A PXT LTE wireless communications test set functions as a combined signal generator and signal analyzer for automated industrial communication validation. It supports LTE devices in environments where strict deterministic performance verification is mandatory. This E6621A unit enables stable measurements during reliable continuous operation. The mechanical design of the test set supports cabinet or bench installation in industrial environments. Its power input spans from 100 to 240 V alternating current at 50/60 Hz line frequency.

The E6621A features a frequency range from 500 MHz to 5.9 GHz. Its frequency resolution reaches 1 Hz in the lower bands to 4 Hz at maximum bands and its frequency accuracy directly follows the internal 10 MHz reference input used throughout the instrument architecture. The unit’s aging and temperature stability ensure consistent measurement accuracy across extended long industrial deployment cycles. The signal generator section of the test set delivers levels from -110 to -10 decibel mW and its level resolution of 0.1 decibel supports fine power control in automated calibration sequences. The instrument’s sub harmonic performance is specified for higher bands ensuring accurate spectral characterization of advanced transmitters.

The integrated signal analyzer of E6621A set characterizes modulated signals over the complete operational frequency range. Its modulated level accuracy is specified separately for 5, 10 and 20 MHz channel bandwidth configurations. The architecture therefore supports stress testing of control networks using realistic production like traffic models. It supports LTE FDD and LTE TDD configurations for validation of multiple regional deployment standards. It provides 50 ohms of RF input/output ports with 20 decibel mW protection. The unit accepts external 10 MHz reference signals and also distributes reference output to auxiliary equipment. Interfaces include USB LAN and GPIB for connection to higher level automation frameworks. Its trigger and IQ connections support synchronized measurements with external signal sources/capture instruments.
