Agilent E6621-65032 Clock Generation Unit

The Agilent E6621-65032 clock generation module is a precision timing and synchronized unit designed for clock distribution and deterministic industrial networking. The unit integrates a CGU4.0 clock generation architecture that supports disciplined timing and multi-channel clock delivery. The module employs a CGU4.0 front panel that features dedicated coaxial connections for a CLK OUT port and a CLK IN port. These ports support accurate synchronization between external reference clocks and the internal timing subsystem. The clock generation unit includes 6 DCO outputs that supply independent digitally controlled oscillator channels. The interface supports precise distribution of clock signals and enables low jitter switching for advanced measurement systems.

The E6621-65032 incorporates a 10 MHz disciplined oscillator that provides a stable timing source for all internal operations. The oscillator is housed in a shielded metal enclosure that reduces noise coupling and maintains reliable clock integrity. A secondary shield spans the central PCB region to isolate sensitive timing circuits. The unit interfaces with a PLX digital processing device that manages clock generation functions and distributes timing signals to all output channels. The clock module features a high density backplane connector that supports control, data and synchronization lines for modular instrument platforms. The connector enables fast linkage between the module and the host chassis.
