Agilent E2078A PCI High-Performance GPIB Interface
The E2078A PCI GPIB Interface is manufactured by Agilent/HP/Keysight. The Agilent E2078A PCI GPIB Interface is a PCI IEEE-488 high performance interface. The Agilent E2078A is designed for use with 5 V PCI workstations. Accessing and controlling instruments and exchanging data are made easy with the E2078A PCI GPIB Interface. The E2078A has a built-in buffering feature as well. This interface offers inputs/outputs. The maximum date rate of this PCI High-Performance GPIB Interface is 750 KB/s.
The Agilent E2078A supports the software of VISA & SICL. The offered software version works with the old version of VISA & SICL software also. The E2078A PCI GPIB Interface comes with hardware that is auto configurable by means of the PCI standard. This feature eliminates the requirement of configuring the switch settings.
The E2078A PCI GPIB Interface is inserted into the PCI slot located on the workstation’s backplane. The Agilent E2078A can be used with a GPIB cable, which connects the E2078A to the GPIB instrument. In a VXI application, there is a command module and “slot 0” on the VXI mainframe. In this case, the Agilent E2078A PCI GPIB Interface is connected to the command module. The programming languages supported by the Agilent E2078A are C, C++, Agilent VEE, and BASIC UX. The Agilent E2078A PCI GPIB Interface has an HP-UX 10.20 operating system and an HP-UX workstation for the controller. The backplane of this interface is PCI.
