Keysight M9037A PXIe Embedded Controller
The M9037A from Keysight is a 4 slot PXIe embedded PC controller for secure environment and high-performance multi-chassis system application. It utilizes the Intel i7-4700EQ 2.4 GHz core i7 processor that is quad core and features hyper-threading capability to support 8 threads for productive multitasking. It comes pre-installed with Windows 7 or 10 operating systems, together with associated drivers, Keysight I/O libraries, and VISA application program.
A standout feature is the 240 GB front-accessible removable SSD, which offers improved protection in the form of easy ejection and faster boot-up compared to mechanical drives. The M9037A also accepts 16 GB of DDR3L RAM, where 4 GB, 8 GB, or 16 GB options are offered to meet varying workload demands. Its backplane of Gen 3 PCIe is compatible with data bandwidth of 16 GB/s for supporting high-speed data transfers among CPU and PXIe chassis.
The controller features a wide range of front-panel connectivity options that include four 2.0 ports, two 3.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet links, two DisplayPort++ connectors, a GPIB port, and an SMB trigger port. An x8 Gen 3 PCIe IPASS connector provides support for multi-chassis setups or expansion of RAID storage without the use of instrument slots.
Flexible by design, the M9037A is capable of supporting multi-monitor setups using DisplayPort++ adapters for DVI, VGA, or HDMI monitors. It is also compatible with Intel HD Graphics 4600, which maximizes video rendering efficiency. It can be integrated in PXIe chassis and allows cascading of up to four chassis in 64-bit Windows environments, thus making it suitable for large testing systems. Designed for application in demanding environments, the M9037A operates between 0°C and 55°C and endures 0.21 g rms vibration. Its 3U/4-slot size, in accordance with PXIe specifications, easily integrates into current setups. Powered by processing speed and flexibility, augmented by rugged build quality, the M9037A is a reliable addition to automated test systems, manufacturing validation, and secure data collection.
