The Keysight N2102A-H10 is a 2-Slot PXI instrument equipped for producing multiple low jitter patterns at rates to 8.5 Gb/s maximum, while utilizing a remotely provided clock. This module was formerly known as PXIT Model PX2000-337. ActiveX drivers give a simple-to-utilize software interface and a Graphical User Interface for manual functioning of the module. The N2102A-H10 Pulse Pattern Generator necessitates a clock input. The optimal clock input for this module can be provided by the Keysight N2099A Synthesizer.
The PXI Chassis that the N2102A-H10 is used in can be controlled two ways: with an external PC utilizing a PCI – cPCI/PXI remote bridge or an embedded PXI controller. The PC must have 128 MB RAM, a Pentium processor of 133 MHz or more, and a Windows 2000 or XP operating system. Also, the PXI Chassis holding the N2102A-H10 must be earth grounded with an appropriate air supply.
There are a variety of supported data rates and patterns for this module, as well as flexible modulation voltage, 2048-bit user pattern memory, differential NRZ data creation, and more. This PXI Pulse Pattern Generator can save a pattern with a length of 2^17 or 131,072 bits if it is saved within a 64 x 2048 array. This is because the FPGA processes the information in 64 bit increments.
